Amazingly simple and reliable: the WCS Kite Dropper Post by Ritchey
When designing the WCS Kite dropper post, Tom Ritchey took a look at everything that existing dropper posts have failed at achieving, and the reasons behind their subpar durability. Knowing that maintenance is a critical factor in extending longevity, he wanted to create an adjustable seatpost that could be easily repaired in a worst-case scenario. The end result of his efforts is an amazingly simple and reliable system.
The three-stage Ritchey WCS Kite initially allows for 30 mm of drop as the optimal height for a lower centre of gravity with efficient pedalling angle, as well as full drop for those situations where a shift of body weight to the rear of the bike is necessary.
