Shimano SL-MT500-IL remote lever for I-Spec-EV mounting – for dropper posts
The SL-MT500-IL remote lever from Shimano is mounted on the left side of a compatible brake lever via the I-Spec EV mount. There it takes the position of the shifter, which is not present in 1-speed drivetrains. The remote lever is suitable for mechanically actuated dropper posts that have their cable clamp on the lever and require a maximum of 9 mm cable travel. It is characterised by ease of movement and quick accessibility, especially as it can be adjusted very flexibly. The SL-MT500 is mainly made of lightweight aluminium. A corrosion-resistant coated inner cable is included.

I-Spec EV describes a variant of the connection between brake lever and shift lever on Shimano MTB derailleurs. This type of mounting allows the shifter to be adjusted both horizontally and vertically in relation to the brake lever, and ensures a tidy cockpit by reducing the number of clamps required. Compared to I-Spec and I-Spec II, I-Spec EV offers a much wider adjustment range. 14 mm adjustment range the longitudinal direction and up to 60° rotation allow an optimal ergonomic adjustment to your riding style, your sitting position and your anatomy.
